Leap Charts – Avery is 5 Months Old

That’s right, it’s Leap Day and Avery is now 5 months old!  Oh how the time has already flown.  Here are some fun numbers and charts from Avery’s doctor’s checkup earlier this month…

Weight: 14lbs 4.4oz (27.63%*)

Since Avery was born a month early, he was super-tiny and was at the 4th percentile…he’s grown so much since then!

Height: 25.25 inches (52.19%*)

Avery was born at 20.5 inches (71st percentile).. I guess his weight is finally catching up to his height.  We still hope he’s got Daddy’s height (5’10) and not Mommy’s (5’2 – on a good day).

Head Circumference: 41cm (13.75%*)

He doesn’t look like he has a tiny head though… I think his head actually looks big but according to the chart it’s not…

And this is a fun chart… it might be an indication of if he’s going to be tall since his weight is low for his typical height…

*This indicates the percentile he’s in compared to average boys his age.

Here’s Avery waiting for the doctor to come in at our last check-up:

Overall, Avery has been growing well and as we enter into his 6th month, he’s rolling, eating well, smiling & laughing, bearing weight on his legs, etc.  He’s a very happy and healthy little man.

Wondering where I got the charts?  Our Doctor’s Office (Harvard Vanguard) has a website we can login and access them…pretty cool, huh?
